SSE Scope in this project included serving as the Structural Engineer of Record (EOR) and also provided steel connection design and steel stair design services. This three story multi-purpose building is located in Charleston, SC. This project was designed for high-seismic loading and designed for hurricane level wind forces.
This structure consists of a structural steel frame on a foundation consisting of driven timber piles and concrete pile caps. The lateral system for the project was steel Special Concentrically Braced Frames (SCBF).
SSE scope of design for this project including serving as the Structural Engineer of Record (EOR) as well as providing steel connection design. This warehouse structure is located in Summerville, SC which is a high-seismic and high-wind zone. SSE also provided designs for railings and ladders.
This project consisted of concrete tilt-wall panel construction. The roof was framed with steel joists and joist girder along with metal deck.
